Isle of Skye and Glen Coe Area

I visited the Isle of Skye in February 2011 which was a very successful trip, the weather could have been kinder however I did get some sunshine. It rained and there were several cloudy days. Got a flurry of snow whilst in the Glen Coe area. I did though produce quite a few worth while images.

The trip involved a stop at Penrith on the way up with the hope to get photos in the Lake District but this was not possible due to the weather forecast so we drove straight to Glen Coe with a photo shoot stop at Loch Lomond to get some reflections. We visited Kilchurn Castle on Loch Awe, Castle Stalker and Glen Etive before departing for the Isle of Skye. Managed to travel the whole of the Isle of Skye which isn't easy because there are so many peninuslas to go up and down.

On the way home stopped again in Glen Coe and then travelled to Penrith for the last stop, hoped to get images in the Lake District again but this was not possible because of overcast conditions so proceeded to Falkirk to take photos of the Falkirk Wheel at dusk. With such still conditions managed to take some lovely reflections whilst the structure was illuminated.
