Dalmatian Pelicans
Below are a few of the hundreds of images I took on Lake Kerkini, Greece during February 2014. I spent about three days taking these delightful birds from either a small wooden boat panning with a long lens plus a wide angle lens when they approached the boat and lying flat on my stomach at the edge of the lake getting to their level to take either long or even fisheye shots.
I felt that that all had such different characters and I loved the different hairstyles they each displayed. There was an incomer, as you will see below, a White Dalmatian (also called Rosy), this bird had a character of its own and often was the first bird to catch the fish.
